Summer Organizing Boot Camp 2015 {Announcing!}

Summer Organizing Boot Camp 2015

A new blog series is joining the ranks of Mary ORGANIZES this summer: the first ever Summer Organizing Boot Camp!

The other blog series have been so much fun that I want to introduce a series that focuses on organizing. For four weeks, I will guide you through some Organizing Basic Training. Not only will we conquer some common problem areas together, we will also learn how to think like an organizer.

Boot camp starts next week.

Will you join us?

  1. I can’t wait for this challenge!!!! I have had so much success with the de-clutter challenge. I know this will help me to evaluate with a different mindset all the things that are in my home.

  2. I will definitely be following! Injured my knee and can’t even walk right now…looking at knee replacement but will certainly be reading everything!

    1. Read and work on changing your thinking until you are able to work on changing your environment. Praying for a quick healing for you.

  3. As a teacher, I’ve been spending much of my summer purging/organizing/cleaning:) I only have a few weeks of break left and can’t wait to finish it off with this :-)

    1. I think this is a great way to finish the summer. It will give you some closure so you can be at peace about your house as you start a new school year!

  4. Looking forward to this. I’ve been subscribed to your blog for about two months now and am working my way through your old declutter challenge (just in time for a move). I like to organize and am quite organized, but you have a different standard which is changing the way I think about organization. To be organized it needs to be beautiful too. So to “think like an organizer”, at least like you organize, is going to be wonderful.

    1. Awesome! I’m so glad you are joining us! I’m so glad you are finding the challenges worthwhile. I had hoped that they would be useful for anyone on the “organizing spectrum”. Welcome, fellow organizer. :)

    1. Yes, there will always be more to get rid of. Decluttering is a life-time event that is so easy when done in little chunks at a time with maintenance!

  5. I am in and excited to get started right from the beginning. Anxiously awaiting next week and continue using my organization with all your wonderful tips, Mary!

    1. Yes! Be sure to read my moving guide. Take the time to sit down and think about where you want everything to really end up around the house, so that when you organize, you can have the big picture in mind. So glad you’re joining us!

  6. Yes! Started the declutter challenge on my own at least one month ago and got so busy with 3 of us in summer tennis I gave it up. Tennis is over (except for me) so I am ready to hit the challenge again!

(My daughter is upset that I did not keep going since she wants friends over when the house is neat again.)

    1. The declutter challenge is a great prelude to the organizing boot camp. After all, decluttering is the first step of organizing! Keep going with it. You will feel such a relief when you finish!

  7. Your declutter challenge & especially the pics of your home inspired me. Now nearly every shelf, closet and drawer in our house is about 1/3 empty and has stayed that way. It was really fun and I’m looking forward to this Boot Camp too.

    1. Though I’m late to reply to your comment, you commented before it actually started. I had forgotten to post the start date so I corrected that with a new post. Sorry for the confusion, I hope you’re able to join in!

    1. Sorry I’m just getting to reply to this. I hope you were able to start with us last week. I really messed up by not posting the start date on the announcement post!

Leave a comment! I love to hear what you think!
